Heavy Rain is inspired by Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes and The Phantom Pain, focusing on practicing the design of nonlinear, multi-solution stealth levels with a cinematic presentation and a tense atmosphere.

The design emphasizes multiple distinct solutions and an easily comprehensible level structure, ensuring that each route provides a meaningfully different experience in an orthogonal sense.

The goal is to create three truly distinct paths rather than a seemingly nonlinear experience that ultimately feels the same.

Players should be able to seamlessly switch between different routes, fostering a sense of freedom and meaningful player choice.
